The Starting Line

The Aries Equinox is a gateway into the light. Once we cross, the balance changes; there are more hours of light than dark. It is why it is the first sign of the zodiac year. It is a birthing of sorts. Can you feel the fire? Watch how others change. People move faster, assert themselves more forcefully and feel an internal push to accomplish something.

The New Moon at 11º Aries on March 31 at 11:24 pm PT is the most potent of the year. Carve out time to set intentions. Despite the chaos of the world around us, life goes on. Use this extra energy to accelerate manifesting your dreams.

Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of drive, assertion, and action. Be mindful of an impulsive and primal urge to take action. Remember to look before you leap to avoid regrets and relationship breakdowns. Will Smith’s Oscar scandal was astrology in action. He was experiencing difficult transits. After an impeccable public image for decades, he will deal with the shame and consequences of an...

Reality Bites

How perfect that the last Full Moon of the zodiac calendar year is in analytical Virgo. It is time to examine our daily routines, habits, and rituals with a critical eye. Separate the wheat from the chaff for a fresh start before charging into Aries season. As always, celebrate any wins, no matter how small. The Pisces Sun encourages acceptance and forgiveness for any missed goals. Stay grounded as the activation with Neptune can lead us into fantasy. Keep it whimsical rather than escapist or fear-inducing.

Personally, I have daily habits that need adjusting. My big goal is to stop catering to my natal Venus and Mars in Gemini by venturing off task with distractions from shiny objects. Squirrel!! Also, my Taurus Sun and Cancer rising enjoy self-indulgence. However, initial success on the journey to tame that beast is mine! Since starting metabolism-boosting ProLon last fall, I am down 17 pounds and feeling myself. Yes, I am! Check out my affiliate link if you want to try this...

Manifest the Dream

Apologies for my lateness and brevity as my sister unexpectedly visited me for a few days. A surprise gift! Thank you, Jupiter Uranus sextile. I hope you enjoy the mystical magic of Pisces season. Commit to a regular connection to your intuition. Investigate the liminal spaces—the in-between.

Two weeks ago, the Leo Full Moon brought each of us to a crossroads. Now, we move forward and make decisions that have long-range consequences. I love that this New Moon at 12º Pisces activated Jupiter, the benevolent teacher. The Venus and Mars activation of Pluto in Capricorn can provide strength, determination, and grit. How can you keep the faith that your dreams are possible despite the turbulence? Outline the steps to manifest your goals and then do it. Keep your commitments to yourself. Slow down as the call is for steady, consistent progress, not speed—one foot in front of the other.

Fired Up!

The Sun rules the zodiac sign of Leo. This luminary is the life-giving force that fuels inspiration and creativity. Many screen actors have a strong Leo signature. Their luminosity captivates the audience. The luminaries will oppose each other on February 16 at 8:56 am PT. With this illumination, consider what you do just for the joy of it. Which hobbies fill you with pleasure? How can you reclaim some of the enthusiasm for life you had as a child?

After a cosmically sluggish start to the year, all the planets move in direct motion until April 29. Venus and Mars will meet in the sky a few hours before this Full Moon. They are in ambitious Capricorn. Act now to move your goals forward. Connect with the feelings of pleasure that success brings and recommit to the steps to achieve your big goals.

At the webinar yesterday, I discussed Canada's Freedom Convoy and how it may be connected with the Pluto return of the United States. Watch the video here.

Finding Focus

Confusingly, the symbol for airy Aquarius is the water bearer. Air signs rule communication and mental processes. This cosmic water nourishes the mind rather than the physical body. Prominent Aquarius energy is often found in the natal charts of scientists, inventors, and thought leaders. They gather knowledge and provide the collective with new tools and information to evolve.

The Humanitarian and the Revolutionary are well-known archetypes. At their core, people who embody this energy want to make things better in the future than they are in the now. There is a quest to improve something. The shadow energy can leave destruction in its wake, or it can change the world for the better when light.

Aquarius rules the big picture. This New Moon at 12º Aquarius on Monday, January 31 at 9:45 pm PT, invites us to think outside a traditional box when we set our intentions. Consider your long-range goals, dreams, and innovative ideas. What do you desire? How can you be more engaged with...

The Love Within

The Moon rules the zodiac sign of Cancer. This sign has dominion over home, family, foundations, and ancestry. We first learn about love from our families. The Full Moon at 27º Cancer on January 17 at 3:48 pm PT invites us to explore our relationship with self-love. If we don’t nourish ourselves, how can we express healthy love for anyone else? The Full Moon’s engagement with primal Pluto offers self-empowerment to examine the shadows with a goal of healing.

Venus in Capricorn is still retrograde until January 29, so reflection on our relationships and values is on the cosmic menu. Mercury in Aquarius begins his backstep on Friday, February 14. This cycle could be especially mischievous since Uranus, the ruler of electronics, is stopped from our perspective during the Full Moon. The station period intensifies the chaotic energy of the still active Saturn Uranus square. Unexpected breakdowns and frustrations are possible. You know the drill. Don’t rush...

Ready, Set, Goal!

Happy New Year! This year starts with a supportive flash of lightning in a bottle. Genius creating Uranus offers support to your big dreams for 2022. Our challenge will be to keep momentum when we face Saturnian setbacks. The last Saturn Uranus square on Christmas eve was a doozy.   The Omicron variant brought chaos to the holiday season. As anticipated, structures have broken down unexpectedly:

  • Staffing shortages led to thousands of flights cancellations.
  • The shelves are empty of needed home tests.
  • Lines for COVID testing wrapped around buildings.
  • Hospitals are filling up.
  • Holiday events and New Year’s Eve parties were canceled.

The good news is that the square is separating. We will eventually begin to see relief until late summer, when the square begins to tighten again. The USA midterm elections will be a doozy.

There are exciting transits to anticipate. Jupiter and Neptune are both at home and will meet at 24º Pisces on April 12. I am excited about art,...

Time to Go

I love the rhythmic nature of the astrology cycles.  The cosmos invites us to evolve, and the lunar nodes are teachers. They travel backward through the zodiac for 18 months. Since May 2020, the Gemini/ Sagittarius axis of information has been in the limelight.  The collective work of integrating new ideas leading into the release of entrenched thinking ends soon.  On Saturday, December 18, 8:35 pm PT, the final  2021 Full Moon debuts. It is the last one in the Mercury-ruled air sign of Gemini before the North Node moves into Venus-ruled Taurus to spotlight our resources and values. Are there nagging self-limiting stories that you want to release?  Well, Venus in Capricorn will assist! She stations for her retrograde on the day of this lunation.

From December 19 until January 29, she will dance backward in heels. Venusian topics for review, reassessment, and revision include our money, values, and relationships. This tango promises intensity as her partner...

Manifest Destiny

The last eclipse on the information axis is at 12º Sagittarius on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2:42 am ET. Since May 4, 2020 when the North Node entered fact gathering Gemini, the collective call is to cultivate a beginner mindset, educate ourselves and take in new data. The South Node is the discharge point and in Sagittarius we are tasked to release outdated and entrenched dogma. Take some time to consider how you have evolved during this time. How have you expanded your world view? You have until January 18th to complete the work before the evolutionary pull shifts into Taurus topics.

This Sagittarius eclipse is part of Saros series 5 South. Astrologer Bernadette Brady describes it as having a joyful nature.  Good news, falling in love and peak experiences are possible. Have you noticed how many people are newly engaged? It was a pleasure to host a webinar to discuss the eclipse. Learn more about the signature of this lunation here.

Dangerous Beauty

Eclipse season is underway, and the lunar eclipse on Friday, November 19 at 27º Taurus brings textbook intensity.  Do your best to be rested, calm, and centered because passionate Mars in Scorpio opposes chaos-loving Uranus. With oppositions, it is easy to swing one way or the other rather than achieve balance.  Unexpected outbursts of anger are possible. The energy will last through American Thanksgiving.  Avoid impulsivity! Be present so your family’s holiday does not end in tears, hurt feelings, or broken dishes. Scorpio season calls for shadow work. How can you love yourself and others' flaws and all? If possible, focus on gratitude and forgiveness rather than vengeance.

Another source of intensity is the Moon’s conjunction with feared fixed star Algol.  In Greek mythology, this star is Medusa’s severed head.  She was the feared Gorgon with snakes for hair whose visage was a weapon.  One look and you turned to stone. Scorpio...
