Caught in a Storm

Did the Pisces lunar eclipse illuminate what you needed to release from your life? This mutable water sign rules music, deception, delusions, hospitals, confusion, drugs, people experiencing homelessness, and oil. The stories in the news related to the amplified Full Moon were:

- Rapper and mogul Sean Combs was arrested for racketeering and sex trafficking. One thousand bottles of baby oil were recovered from his property. His White Parties used to be the hottest ticket in town. Many high-profile celebrities will be caught in this storm involving rampant drug use and hedonistic sex exploitation. A big fish could make news near Mars's entry into Leo on November 3. Mars rules sex and violence. Leo rules the royal ones, including celebrities. Expect more revelations during the Mars retrograde cycle from December 6, 2024 – February 27, 2025. Mars appears to stop at 6° Leo and then peels back the tape to expose what is underneath.

- Israel is on the counter-offensive...

The Doldrums

Virgo season invites us to examine the routines and rituals of our daily lives and adjust as needed. I am in Mexico at a health and wellness spa, exercising, eating healthfully, and getting more rest after burning the candle at both ends for too long. The wise medical astrologer Kira Sutherland suggests that the period between the Chiron return around age 50 and the second Saturn return around age 58 is critical to delay the inevitable decline of vitality. Kira is also teaching at the OPA retreat in Park City, Utah. Anne Ortelee, Christopher Renstrom, Kay Taylor, Rick Levine, Sam Reynolds, Lynn Bell and more amazing astrologers will also be there. I have two spots left in my Moon Mastery™ track. Learn more here.

Pisces rules escapism, self-sabotage, and drugs. In alignment with the Pisces lunar eclipse, I made the decision to permanently abstain from alcohol, recognizing that its effects were hindering my personal growth as my psychic abilities expanded. Eclipses serve...

From Dusk until Dawn

I hope you enjoyed your summer. I am writing this blog from the UK where I shared my work at the Astrological Association’s 56th annual conference. It was a fantastic event, and I adore being in a community with like-minded people. We had fun, too. Getting down on the dance floor under the Leo Moon was epic. I have two spots left in my three-day Moon Mastery™ immersion track for October’s OPA retreat. I would love for you to join me.

My dear friend Sarah L’Hrar started an Inside the Astro Studio interview series. I was delighted to be a guest. You can learn about my astrology journey by viewing it here.

I am spreading my prediction wings on Instagram and Threads and chronicling the 2024 election. It is a fascinating Shakespearean drama.  I am putting my tongue on the third rail by discussing politics, but I feel an inner calling to do so. I have spent enough time self-censoring.  I respect others' points of view and understand...

Meeting the Moment

At its best, Aquarius's energy is inventive, tolerant, community-minded, and focused on individual freedoms. It desires to topple old, outmoded structures and replace them with new egalitarian ones. The sign rules friends, groups, and organizations.

Aquarius is a fixed air sign; in shadow, people can get high on their own supply. When opinions become facts, there is no room to consider the other's point of view. Jupiter in Gemini invites abundance by considering diverse points of view. It is in a tense square with Saturn in Pisces; rejecting new information based on belief systems is easy.

Unpredictable Uranus is the star of the show of this Full Moon and the modern ruler of Aquarius. In the cosmos, it spins on its side and backward, governing sudden and surprising events, breaks, disruptions, and reversals. It rules elections, revolts, strikes, suicide, abortions, aerospace, and aviation. Winning the casino jackpot, fender benders, and revolutions are all Uranian events.  It...

Course Correction

The upcoming astrological events, particularly the first of three corrections as expansive Jupiter tensely squares restrictive Saturn on August 19, December 24, and June 15, 2025, are significant. Jupiter, symbolizing ethics, freedom, wealth, and expansion, is in a tense square with Saturn, the planet of tradition, structure, punishment, and contraction. It is a perfect time to trim the excess, as the pressure is set to build over the next two weeks.

Jupiter governs judges and foreign places. President Biden’s proposal for term limits and binding ethics rules for Supreme Court judges aligns with this transit. Success in the multinational coordination for the prison swap is also on point. This energy helps us bring the bigger picture to realistic results, but the path may be difficult. Reality checks, getting sober, starting new health regimes, accountability, and financial belt-tightening are an energetic match.

Standing On Business

Capricorn, the ruler of structures, ambitions, big business, governments, traditions, and older people, is in the spotlight. The 29th degree, a point of crisis and decay, is significant. When a planet reaches 29º, it holds the entire energy of the sign, ready to burst before changing signs. The Moon’s conjunction with Pluto intensifies the crisis. Notably, Joe Biden ended his reelection campaign and endorsed Kamala Harris during this time. The tense square between messenger Mercury and Uranus at this lunation is also of astrological importance.

The planet Uranus governs seismic changes, elections, reversals, shocks, and surprises. When activated by the Great Awakener, we are subconsciously motivated by our vision of the future to take decisive action. We desire to liberate ourselves, make a big splash, or end something abruptly. Uranus was on my Sun when I quit my stable corporate career to pursue an uncertain future as an astrologer. Uranus was opposite his Sun when Joe...

Keep Calm and Carry On

Happy New Moon! Apologies for the late newsletter; unexpected projects put me behind. The Moon is at home in Cancer, which rules home, family, and security. The Moon’s job is to feel, emote, and intuit. The natal Moon’s condition in the chart indicates our reigning needs.  If you are interested in a deep dive into all things about the Moon for a more abundant life, join me for the OPA retreat in Park City, Utah, for a Moon Mastery™ intensive. Email me at [email protected] if you want to set up a discovery call to determine if it is right for you.

Today is a beautiful day to call someone, tell them you love them, and remind them of their outstanding qualities. There are two opportunistic sextiles active for the next few days. Lovely Venus in Cancer to surprising Uranus, and communicative Mercury is to expansive Jupiter.

The most significant transit is the meetup of competitive Mars and shocking Uranus on July 15 at 26° Taurus.  These two...

Rest & Retreat

Summer is here! The Sun’s entrance into the intuitive sign of Cancer begins this season. I am an Edge Magazine columnist; you can read my thoughts and watch a video about Cancer season here.

Bay Area locals, please join me at the Stardust Mystical Faire on Saturday, June 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. The Breathing Room in Alameda is located at 1708 Lincoln Ave, Alameda, CA 94501. I am one of several vendors and will provide mini astrology readings for $40. You can add the intuitive wisdom of oracle readings for $20 more.

Yesterday marked the first of two Capricorn Full Moons this year. Capricorn rules structures, ambitions, big business, governments, traditions, and the elderly.  This one feels somewhat chill, although obsessive Pluto is in the blind spot.  I think literal storms and leaks about corruption will be the top news items. The one on July 22 may be a doozy, but I love this energy.

Consider your work-life balance. I realized that I needed to bring more...

Breathing Room

Last week’s big news was the guilty verdict in the Trump trial. I predicted the verdict date of May 30 when Mercury and Uranus met at Donald Trump’s midheaven (MC) square his Mars. The MC is the most public place in the chart, and a communication shock that enrages a person is on the brand. I was too nervous to predict the verdict as there was a foggy Neptunian haze over the trial chart. I recorded a YouTube video that details the astrological influences at play.

Trickster Mercury landed in its Gemini home on Monday, where it can easily express its energy. Have you had to do things twice? Gemini is a doubled-body sign that enjoys repetition. We have an extra boost to clear, deliberate thinking and speech until June 17. The caution is not to get too scattered this mutable air sign is easily distracted by shiny objects.

I am thrilled to participate in the Stardust Mystical Faire at the Breathing Room in Alameda on Saturday, June 29th, 1 – 5 pm. The address is...

Celebrate Good Times

Last Saturday was expansive Jupiter's annual meetup with the Sun. It's considered the luckiest day of the year. The Sun's annual embrace is called the cazimi. Death and rebirth symbology are present as old stories are burned off. Jupiter rules religious figures and judges. It educates, broadens, and takes us on long journeys, including to the river Styx. The Sun governs leaders, and it focuses our attention.

On Sunday, the theocratic President of Iran and his top diplomat died in a helicopter crash on a trip to see a dam during bad weather. Jupiter in Taurus translates to a huge Earth structure. The Sun was harmoniously sextile foggy, watery Neptune in Pisces. Astrology is literal. On the same day, the Venus-Uranus conjunction met Israel’s Sun. Was this an accident and a surprise gift, as the power vacuum could lead to instability?

President Raisi, the Butcher of Iran, was a hardline religious leader, a judge, and a descendant of Muhammad, The Son of a Preacher Man...
