Celestial Receipts: The Knight of Swords

The Knight of Swords is the theme of the April 12th episode of the Celestial Insights podcast. And we saw it right away. As Mars met Neptune in Aries, the swords came out.

Eric Swalwell had been one of the front-runners for California governor, and then four women accused him of sexual assault. He tried a video confession, admitting to infidelity, but says everything was consensual. Calls for his resignation were deafening.

He dropped out of the race and resigned from Congress on Tuesday. That’s Knight of Swords. A quick, decisive decision was needed. And astrologically, his fall makes sense.

He’s in a Saturn opposition right now. Mid-40s transit. Everybody goes through it. It’s a reality check.

Hs natal Saturn in Libra is about accountability in relationships, agreements, and how you show up with other people. And opposition comes from the outside. Other people bring it to you. You don’t get to hide from it.

Saturn is in fall in Aries, and he had a spectacular one. For him, the A...

Power Reset

There is a heavy concentration of energy in Aries right now, and when that much fire gathers in one place, it creates pressure. Pressure can lead to breakthroughs or breakdowns. Often both.

The luminaries will meet at 27° Aries in the dark, beginning a new cycle, but this is not a quiet reset. This is an intense ignition point.

What makes this New Moon especially potent is its connection to chaotic Eris and Chiron, the teacher and healer. They are separating, which tells us something has already been activated. The wound has already been touched. The discord has already been stirred.  He is also blocking the Straight of Hormuz and courting a confrontation with China.

Now we are in the aftermath, watching what unfolds next.

A Collective Power Struggle

Aries rules identity, survival, and leadership. When activated this strongly, we often see these themes play out on the world stage.

This New Moon arrives at a time when the collective feels deeply unsettled. The US President is vol...

Celestial Receipts: Chain Reaction

Chain Reaction is the theme of the April 5, 2026 episode of the Celestial Insights podcast. Mars enters Aries, and the last quarter Moon in Capricorn exposes cracks in leadership and the chain of command.

We are watching a real-time chain reaction unfold, and it is tracking the astrology almost too perfectly.

First, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll publicly vowed to remain in his post despite escalating tensions with Pete Hegseth. That alone points to fractures within the chain of command. When leadership is not aligned at the top, pressure starts building underneath. Mars is about action and conflict, and as it prepares to enter Aries, we begin to see who is willing to hold their ground and who is not.

As Mars reached the 29th degree of Pisces, sextiling Uranus in Taurus, reports began circulating that the Pentagon had summoned the Vatican’s ambassador and issued what was perceived as a threat. Uranus is associated with shocks, disruptions, and sudden events, and at that critical anaret...

Celestial Receipts: The Manchurian Candidate

The Manchurian Candidate is the theme of the Celestial Insights Podcast, which dropped on March 29, 2026. The big event was the Libra Full Moon, bringing themes of politics, justice, and relational dynamics to the forefront.

Libra governs the political arena.
Aries rules conflict, competition, and violence.

And this week, those archetypes met in a very real way. Pam Bondi, the US Attorney General, was fired. We saw her official picture in the trash under the Scorpio Moon, the sign that rules garbage.

Also this week, a major development broke in the case surrounding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

According to a USA Today report, the defense team for Tyler Robinson stated in court filings that it received a summary from the ATF indicating that investigators were unable to definitively match the bullet recovered during the autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Robinson.

This detail made national headlines.

Not as proof of innocence. But as a fracture point in the narrative.

Dynamic Relationships

As we move into this Libra Full Moon, I want to start by sharing something that feels really aligned with the energy right now.

I recently had a conversation with Charla from the Collective Guidance Podcast, and it was one of those moments where astrology just comes to life.

We realized pretty quickly that we have a cosmic connection in our charts. My Moon sits right on her South Node in Aries. If you know astrology, you know that’s a signature of familiarity. It can feel like you’ve known someone before, like there’s an ease and recognition that doesn’t need to be explained.

And here we are, in Aries season, deciding to create something together.

👉 Watch the conversation

In the video, we talk about that connection, but also about what it really means to live your astrology. Not just understand it, but embody it. That’s what led us to create the Cosmic Fire Challenge.

This is very Aries. It’s about action. Movement. Getting out of your head and into your body.

If you’ve been fee...

Celestial Receipts: Kicking the Hornet’s Nest

Kicking the Hornet’s Nest is the theme of this week’s Celestial Insights Podcast, which dropped on March 22, 2026, and it is not just a metaphor. It is exactly what we are watching play out. The Hornet’s Nest is a documentary filmed in Afghanistan that shows, in real time, what happens when a live combat zone is activated. Once the nest is disturbed, there is no clean exit. It is not one strike and done. It is wave after wave, reaction after reaction, and it takes on a life of its own.

That is exactly how this is unfolding. The US keeps moving deeper into the war with Iran, sending more forces, including units like the 82nd Airborne Division, and you can feel how this is no longer something at the edge. We are getting pulled further and further into the quagmire.

And it is not just physical warfare. Iran is also striking psychologically, and it is incredibly strategic. These viral AI videos, the Lego-style clips, go straight for the nest, the ego, the image. They are targeting Donald...

The Edge of Change

I hope you are doing well as we move through this time of tremendous change.

Before we get into the astrology, I want to share that I’ll be presenting virtually for the Astrological Society of Connecticut (ASC) this week. I’ll be giving a lecture on mundane astrology on Thursday evening, followed by a five-hour workshop on Lunar Planning on Saturday. I would truly love to meet you there if you feel called to join.

A Collective Threshold

There is something very striking happening in the sky.

Since last fall, many of the New Moons have been occurring at 28° and 29°, the final degrees of a sign. These are often referred to as degrees of crisis and decay. They mark a point of culmination, where something has reached its end and cannot continue in the same form.

This week’s New Moon arrives at 28°of Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac. We are standing at the edge of an ending.

Pisces brings themes of dissolution, surrender, and release. On a collective level, this can...

Pattern Recognition

Solar eclipses seed karmic new beginnings; lunar eclipses are the big reveal. They illuminate what has been building beneath the surface. They bring culmination, accountability, and consequences.

This eclipse is in Virgo. This sign rules health, farming, systems, employment, and workers - including the rank-and-file of the military. It oversees the small details that keep everything functioning. It governs supply chains, logistics, and the mechanics of how things actually work. With the South Node in this sign, we have a drain on all the topics.

We are watching that play out in real time.

The February 17th solar eclipse was conjunct the U.S. natal Moon in Aquarius and squared Uranus. That is public shock. That is a disruption to the collective emotional body. But eclipse events often wait for a trigger.

Mars squared Uranus on Friday. That was the trigger.

The United States attacked Iran alongside Israel and set off a chaotic chain reaction of death and destruction across the Midd...

The Collective Shockwave

Before we dive into this week’s astrology, I just want to say how grateful I am for this community. There is so much unfolding collectively right now, and I feel honored to be navigating it with you.

I’m also excited about some upcoming events and gatherings where we can explore these transits together in real time. You can check out what’s coming up on my Events page and join me if it feels aligned. Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn, connect, and go deeper.

Now, let’s talk about what’s happening in the sky.

Solar eclipses are collective turning points. We walk through a door, and when we turn around, there is a wall. The old storyline is gone.

This one lands at 28° Aquarius, the sign of the collective, technology, organizations, aviation, and the systems that connect us. Aquarius rules the hive mind. The network. The future. The end of the sign suggests crisis and decay of these topics.

And right on cue, Business Insider reports that Microsoft's AI CEO predicts the techn...

Leo Full Moon Reflections - A Star is Gone

I hope you are enjoying the weekend. In this YouTube video, Dabney Lawless and I break down the Leo Full Moon and what we expected to emerge under this lunation.

Because Leo rules celebrities, and with Uranus stationing sextile Saturn in Pisces, I said we could expect a trailblazing star who was unique or unconventional to pass on. That star turned out to be Catherine O’Hara. Her work perfectly reflects Leo expressed through Aquarius, iconic, quirky, and deeply tied to ensemble casts like Christopher Guest’s films. The way someone’s life energy is reflected at the end of life is often symbolic. Around the same time, news broke of the death of one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, marking the passing of a living link to World War II and the fight for civil rights. His death echoed the deeper Leo–Aquarius themes of legacy, dignity, and collective memory. Leo speaks to honor and recognition, while Aquarius holds the story of the group and the long arc of social progress.

I also sai...
