A Crisis at the Edge: Last Quarter Moon at 29° Aquarius

On May 20, we experience a Last Quarter Moon at 29° Aquarius, square the Sun at 29° Taurus. The final degrees of fixed signs are volatile, loaded with karmic pressure. Aquarius rules society, groups, ideologies, and human rights. Taurus rules land, wealth, and values.

Astrologically, this is a crisis of consciousness. It closes a chapter that began with the Pisces New Moon on February 19, 2023, a cycle seeded in dreams, illusions, and spiritual longing. But the Moon family shifted into Aquarius for its key moments, demanding collective accountability and moral clarity.

We are now seeing that reckoning unfold in real time.

A Global and Spiritual Reckoning

The news during the Scorpio Full Moon mirrors the cosmos with chilling accuracy:

• The Episcopal Church publicly ended its participation in the U.S. refugee resettlement program, refusing to help relocate white South African migrants after it was revealed that asylum seekers of color were simultaneously being deported. Church leaders described the policy as racially discriminatory and morally indefensible. Their refusal to cooperate is a rare act of spiritual protest, choosing integrity over convenience.
• The Nottoway slave plantation turned wedding venue burned to the ground, igniting a national conversation about how America memorializes its past. Taurus rules land; Aquarius rules social consciousness. The symbolic cleansing of a place where the brutalization of Black people was sugar-coated and repackaged for pleasure feels like a karmic nod from the ancestors. The landed gentry will face consequences come Judgement Day.
• Reports emerged that the U.S. is in talks with Libya to relocate up to one million displaced Palestinians in exchange for the return of their assets. This proposed deal reveals the detached cruelty of modern diplomacy and how easily the powerful think they can displace the powerless.
• A $400 million luxury plane from Qatar was “gifted” to the President, with plans for it to become part of his post-office library. Despite the blatant constitutional violation, the Attorney General approved the deal. However, only Congress has the legal authority to do so. This is Saturn in Pisces at 29°: deception becoming so blatant that it can no longer be ignored.

The astrology demands a question: Where are we complicit? What have we chosen not to see?

Saturn’s Ingress into Aries: A New Era Begins

On May 24, Saturn enters Aries, previewing a longer transit from February 2026 to April 2028. Saturn is the planet of structure, karma, and accountability. Aries is bold, impulsive, and assertive. The two are mismatched. Saturn is in its fall in Aries, where discipline and recklessness collide.

This preview period (May 24–Sept 1, 2025) may bring:

• Escalations of military rhetoric and border militarization
• Youth uprisings and generational confrontations
• Breakdowns in leadership built on ego rather than integrity
• Destructive fires, headaches and inflammatory diseases

The shadow of Saturn in Aries is authoritarian bravado. But its gift is leadership forged through restraint, bravery, and vision. The question becomes: Will we act with wisdom, or react from fear?

Gemini Season Begins: Speed, Spin, and Dual Realities

Also on May 20, the Sun enters Gemini, ushering in a fast-paced, information-driven season. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the messenger and trickster. In the days ahead, expect:

• Rapid news cycles, media manipulation, and conflicting narratives
• Exposure of propaganda and AI-generated disinformation
• Themes around speech, censorship, and truth in communication

With Mercury meeting Uranus on May 24, shocking revelations or disruptions around money, transportation, land boundaries, or digital systems are likely. Expect the unexpected when Uranus is involved.

We are in a portal of revelation. The astrology makes clear: we are being shown what is broken, not to despair, but to choose differently. Whether it’s moral hypocrisy, institutional cruelty, or inherited silence, the sky invites you to become a witness and a participant in transformation. Personally, I have started to feel more optimistic about the future. This timeline is difficult, but I have faith that our consciousness will rise.

• What illusions must I release to live in integrity?
• Where am I being called to speak up, take action, or simply refuse to comply?

The Zone of Interest is no longer just a movie. It is a reality. Will the world demand accountability? The 2028 Olympics are scheduled for Los Angeles. How long before the comparison to the 1936 games in Nazi Germany begin?
