Seeds of Change

We are in a new cosmic era, with Saturn freshly entered into Aries and Mercury dancing through its home sign of Gemini. The energy is marked by swift communication, profound revelations, and the stirring of structural transformation.

Synchronicity is everywhere. I’m writing this blog from the Seattle airport as I wait for my flight home after an inspiring weekend at the annual NORWAC astrology conference. Saturn Meets Neptune: The Long Road to the New World

A defining feature of this week and the years ahead is Saturn’s conjunction with Neptune at 0° Aries. These two planets will not perfect their union until February 20, 2026, but as they travel close together, we begin to feel the rumble of massive ideological and structural change. This pairing happens every 36 years. The last time they met in Capricorn, the Berlin Wall fell and the USSR dissolved overnight. History bent suddenly. Decay gave way to reimagination.

Now in Aries, the sign of initiation and survival, Saturn (limits, systems) and Neptune (ideals, illusions) invite us to consider: What are we willing to fight for? Where are we building structures around new dreams? And where must we release the false narratives that no longer serve?

Expect themes of spiritual warfare, ethical reckoning, and decentralization of power. Institutions that have long held sway may face collapse, reform, or reinvention. This energy is both sobering and ripe with possibility. As systems erode, visionary voices will rise. Artists, activists, and truth-tellers may become the new leaders.

Mercury in Gemini: Mental Clarity and the Power of Speech

Mercury enters Gemini on Sunday and moves quickly into aspects with Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, and the Sun. This rapid-fire communication energy supports problem-solving, invention, and transformation, especially if you’re willing to rewrite old stories.

The Mercury Cazimi on Thursday at 9:12 pm PT is a highlight. It is a moment of mental rebirth where revelations can strike like lightning. Sit with your thoughts that day. Journal. Meditate. A-ha moments are likely. Mercury sextile Neptune adds creative insight. Trine Pluto gives it depth and power.

Watch for disclosures in the news, especially around new government technology or public health. With Mercury so active and the New Moon triggering Icarus (the myth of flying too close to the sun), we may see unexpected developments, overreach, or sharp corrections. Elon Musk is an Icarus figure. He used his wealth to elect the US President of his choice, but he destroyed his personal and corporate brand in the process, a devastating outcome for a Leo South Node.

Gemini New Moon: Reset the Narrative

Monday’s New Moon at 6° Gemini is bold, restless, and out of bounds. It carries the energy of intellectual breakthroughs and startling turns of events. This lunation is especially significant for foreign students in the United States, as it is within two degrees of Uranus in the U.S. Sibley chart. Uranus governs disruptions, awakenings, and the fight for freedom.

Harvard University is currently battling a policy shift by the Trump administration that revoked its ability to host foreign students. This New Moon underscores the stress and uncertainty foreign students are facing, not just at Harvard but across the country. Gemini rules learning and the local environment. Sagittarius, where the full moon will occur, rules long-distance travel and international affairs. Will they find out their fate while Jupiter is at the 29° of Gemini, a degree of crisis. The planet that rules Universities enters nationalistic Cancer on June 9.

• Start a writing or speaking project
• Connect with your siblings, neighbors, or local community

The Sabian symbol, “An old-fashioned well with the purest and coldest water,” reminds us that wisdom, like water, must be drawn from a deep source. With Mercury conjunct Hygeia, a public health asteroid, conversations about protection, sanctuary, and sovereignty may rise to the surface.

Echoes of these dynamics are playing out now in real time.

Yet this energy also moves through us individually. Many are undergoing ego deaths, stripping away false identities and stepping into a more authentic self. The question is no longer “Who was I?” but “Who am I becoming?” Let go of the illusions. Name your new dream. Begin to build.
