Truth Bombs and Turning Points

This is a week of high-stakes revelations on the personal, political, and global level. The Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11 brings things to a head. Sagittarius is the seeker, the preacher, the truth-teller. When the Moon is full in this sign, expect fireworks both literal and metaphorical. Here in my city, Oakland, CA, they were literal and unwelcome as M80s were set off in an intersection. With so many major transits coinciding, this one feels like a cosmic truth bomb. We are in a new world globally.

But before we dive into the astrology, I want to share some exciting news: I was recently quoted in a Huffington Post article about Donald Trump’s solar return alongside brilliant astrologers Catherine Urban and Lisa Stardust. We explored what’s coming up for him in his birthday chart, including the karmic implications of the South Node near his Virgo Ascendant and the upcoming Uranus return. These themes feel especially potent right now.

In my latest YouTube video, I talked about California Governor Gavin Newsom, who is literally in the spotlight under this Full Moon. The Sun lands exactly on his Midheaven - the public top of his chart representing his career, calling, and reputation. The Moon sits at the base, conjunct his Sagittarius Mars and stimulating the passionate crusader within. This is classic “public reckoning” energy. He recently requested that Donald Trump arrest him and leave hardworking Californians alone.  A bold, symbolic move marked a key moment in his national visibility.

What’s Happening in the Sky?

The Full Moon at 20° Sagittarius is asking us to reflect on our personal philosophies and collective belief systems. But the bigger story happens a few days later.

🔹On June 15, Jupiter in Cancer squares Saturn in Aries. This is the classic clash between expansion and restriction. Jupiter wants to grow; Saturn says, “not so fast.” These are the social planets because they reflect our relationships with the world around us. Jupiter expands, teaches, and inspires. Saturn constrains, tests, and defines. When they square off, we often reach a turning point in our societal evolution, where hopes confront hard limits and idealism meets reality.

With Jupiter ruling this Sagittarius Full Moon, the pressure to reconcile dreams with discipline becomes personal. It’s not just about what we believe. It’s about how we structure our lives around those beliefs. And when the world’s scaffolding starts to shift, we’re all asked to evolve with it.

🔹 Also, on that day, Mars in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus - an electric. unstable, and combustible alignment. This brings awakenings, surprises, accidents, bold moves, and, potentially, explosive events.

Together, these aspects spell: TURNING POINT.

Sagittarius Rising Nations on Alert: U.S. and Iran

Both the United States and Iran have Sagittarius Rising charts. This means that Jupiter is the chart ruler and the Full Moon is illuminating the Ascendant of each country. This point represents the national “face” and identity of the nation and its people.

For the U.S., we’re seeing ongoing tension between lofty ideals and practical realities. Economic stress, political gridlock, and questions of identity are bubbling to the surface. The Jupiter-Saturn square highlights struggles around leadership, debt, and foundational values. The military parade and nationwide protests against authoritarianism are how this is playing out. Please take extra precautions for your safety, especially to protect your eyes and ears. Aries rules the head.

For Iran, this lunation is especially volatile. With Mars square Uranus in the mix, and rumors swirling about a potential Israeli military strike, this is flashpoint astrology. Uranus rules sudden events; Mars brings heat. Astrology suggests potential unrest or a dramatic conflict with a rival that reverberates throughout the region. This is the astrology of escalation.

Personal Themes to Reflect On

This isn’t just about global news. This Full Moon is asking each of us to reflect on our personal integrity and beliefs. Ask yourself:

  • What outdated belief or identity am I ready to release?
  • Where have I been fighting for the idea of freedom, but not living it?
  • Am I acting from wisdom or just reacting?

Jupiter is currently in Cancer, the sign associated with family, roots, and protection. Squaring Saturn in Aries, we’re being asked to honor our emotional truths and take responsibility for our impact.

Journal Prompts

  • What truth are you ready to speak even if it’s uncomfortable?
  • Where are you being called to lead with wisdom, not ego?
  • How can you balance optimism with discernment?

This Sagittarius Full Moon is one for the books. The astrology is loud, fiery, and uncompromising. If it feels like everything is coming to a head, it is. Stay grounded, stay present, and remember: the truth will set you free, but it may shake things up first.
