The Great Reveal

The Cancer New Moon arrives on July 14 at 21°59' Cancer, nearly exact on a world point. World points often coincide with events that receive global attention. The unexpected death of Senator Lindsey Graham and the absence of Senator Mitch McConnell have become symbolic of a broader theme under this lunation: established leadership is shifting, and the political landscape is entering a period of transition.

Cancer is the sign of home, family, ancestry, belonging, emotional security, and our subconscious. As we stand on the threshold of eclipse season and a rapidly changing world, this New Moon reminds us that our strongest foundation begins within.

Your Intuition Is Your Emotional Intelligence

One of the greatest gifts of Cancer is intuition.

Your intuition is not separate from your intelligence. It is emotional intelligence. It is the wisdom of your body, your heart, and your subconscious speaking to you.

Mercury is retrograde in Cancer and has just passed through its cazimi, the heart of the Sun. Symbolically, Mercury entered the throne room, received illumination, and now carries that insight back into the collective conversation. Hidden information has a way of emerging under this kind of sky.

Pay attention to what comes up this week.

Notice your dreams. Journal your thoughts. Pull an oracle or tarot card. Sit quietly for a few minutes and ask yourself, What do I need to know right now?

Your body often knows before your mind catches up.

Mercury Retrograde Pulls Back the Veil

The symbolism of Mercury retrograde is already unfolding.

Over the past 24 hours alone, we've seen new information emerge in the mysterious death of Nolan Wells, the young Black college athlete whose disappearance and death captured national attention. A photograph shared by the family's attorney appears to challenge the original timeline offered by friends. Whether that image ultimately changes the investigation remains to be seen, but it illustrates Mercury retrograde beautifully: narratives shift, timelines are revisited, and hidden pieces begin coming into view. May his family receive swift justice.

I expect this pattern to continue.

As Mercury carries the insight of its cazimi into this New Moon, investigative reporting, disclosures, and surprising revelations may accelerate.

Barbault's Basket and the Great Reimagining

This New Moon unfolds beneath a larger astrological pattern many astrologers are discussing: Barbault's Basket.

French mundane astrologer André Barbault believed this period held extraordinary transformational potential for humanity. Jupiter in Leo activates the longer-term Cosmic Wedge formed by Uranus in Gemini, Neptune retrograde in Aries, and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius.

Uranus shocks us with new information. Pluto exposes what has been buried. Neptune pulls back the veil on illusion, deception, and confusion.

Together, they create an environment where multiple stories begin connecting in ways we couldn't previously see. I expect more Epstein revelations on the horizon.

I've described this period as The Great Unraveling, leading to The Great Reimagining.

Sometimes an old system has to crack before something healthier can emerge.

The image that keeps coming to mind is a Jenga tower. It appears stable until one critical piece is removed. Suddenly, the entire structure shifts. That is what this astrology feels like.

The World at a Crossroads

The war between Russia and Ukraine continues to intensify, and the effects are reaching far beyond the battlefield. Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy infrastructure have led to fuel shortages and long lines at gas stations in parts of Russia, disrupting daily life. At the same time, U.S. and European officials have warned that Russia could seek to test NATO's resolve through limited provocations against alliance members, underscoring growing fears of a wider conflict.

Tensions throughout the Middle East are also escalating. Missile and drone attacks have targeted U.S. military facilities and partners in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman, while Iran has again declared the Strait of Hormuz closed, raising concerns over global energy supplies, shipping, and the possibility of a major global financial disruption

We're also seeing revelations involving elite figures, powerful networks, and the ways influence has been used behind the scenes. One of the defining stories of Barbault's Basket may be the exposure of how powerful individuals have manipulated, exploited, or controlled larger groups for their own benefit.

Jupiter in Leo shines a spotlight on leaders, celebrities, royalty, and those at the top.

Pluto in Aquarius exposes the rot within organizations, networks, and society itself. Uranus in Gemini brings shocking information into public awareness. Neptune retrograde reveals what was hidden.

This is why I believe deception will become increasingly difficult to maintain over the coming weeks.

"Things Fall Apart..."

One member of my Instagram community recently pointed me back to William Butler Yeats' famous poem The Second Coming.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world...

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

His words feel incredibly relevant right now. Yet astrology reminds us that endings are also beginnings. The Great Unraveling creates the conditions for the Great Reimagining.

Barbault believed humanity had the opportunity to evolve during this period. The question is whether we will.

Come Home to What Matters Most

Cancer always brings us back home. Home is not simply where you live, it is where you feel emotionally safe. Home is your chosen family, the people who nourish your heart.

Venus in Virgo, sitting at the apex of a yod, the chart pattern is called the Finger of God. The yod invites us to reevaluate what we truly value. Relationships, peace, finances, resources, and emotional investments are all asking for adjustment.

As the collective grows louder, your greatest gift may be to become quieter. Ground yourself. Protect your peace. Care for the people you love.

Remember that while you cannot control the headlines, you can choose how you respond to them.
