I hope you are enjoying the weekend. In this YouTube video, Dabney Lawless and I break down the Leo Full Moon and what we expected to emerge under this lunation.
Because Leo rules celebrities, and with Uranus stationing sextile Saturn in Pisces, I said we could expect a trailblazing star who was unique or unconventional to pass on. That star turned out to be Catherine O’Hara. Her work perfectly reflects Leo expressed through Aquarius, iconic, quirky, and deeply tied to ensemble casts like Christopher Guest’s films. The way someone’s life energy is reflected at the end of life is often symbolic. Around the same time, news broke of the death of one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, marking the passing of a living link to World War II and the fight for civil rights. His death echoed the deeper Leo–Aquarius themes of legacy, dignity, and collective memory. Leo speaks to honor and recognition, while Aquarius holds the story of the group and the long arc of social progress.
I also said I expected something obscene to surface. That came directly from the Mars–Pluto conjunction, which was part of the Aquarius stellium. Mars–Pluto exposes what is brutal, taboo, coercive, and hidden. The Epstein file releases have been nauseating but astrologically aligned.
For podcast listeners, in the January 25 Deep Freeeze episode, I flagged the importance of the ages 14 and 15 because Mercury and Venus were meeting at almost 15 degrees Aquarius, a world point. The calendar girls’ accusations tragically match that symbolism exactly. As the Moon moved from late Gemini to 0 Cancer, it became clear that the President is mentioned extensively in the files. A big lie exposed. The final degrees of a sign indicate crisis and decay. The trickster could not keep it in the bag.
A few hot takes we explore in the video:
• Leo asks where you’re meant to lead from the heart
• Aquarius shows where collective pressure and exposure are building
• Mars–Pluto reveals what can no longer stay hidden
• Uranus accelerates shock, truth, and awakening
If you want support moving through this eclipse season, a time of sudden change and emotional intensity, The Proper Care & Feeding of the Moon class starts tomorrow. There’s still time to join if you want to move through this moment with awareness, tools, and community.
This course helps you understand your Moon sign, house, and natal Moon phase, recognize emotional patterns, and learn how to work with the Moon cycle in real time so astrology becomes something you actually live with, not just think about.
Along with the on-demand material, we’ll meet live for two interactive sessions:
Live Q&A and chart demonstrations
February 1 and February 8
12 pm Pacific | 3 pm Eastern
These live gatherings are an opportunity to ask questions, see real charts, and gain insights into how eclipses may affect your chart.
If Aquarius season has you feeling activated, unsettled, or like something important is shifting, this course offers practical tools to help you stay grounded and present while everything else is changing.
