Sagittarius is mutable fire. It is inspired, restless, searching, and hungry for meaning. Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius seeks expansion through travel, philosophy, religion, higher education, storytelling, and lived experience. This sign wants freedom, truth, and the feeling that life means something larger than survival or routine.

This week’s Full Moon in Sagittarius arrives under emotionally amplified skies because Jupiter, the ruler of this lunation, is now moving through Cancer, the sign ruled by the Moon itself. Jupiter makes everything bigger, and Cancer expands emotional awareness, family concerns, memories, protection instincts, and the desire to feel safe and nourished.

The invitation of this Full Moon is not simply to gather more information. It is to develop emotional wisdom.

The Sun in Gemini can scatter our attention across endless headlines, opinions, data points, and conversations. But Sagittarius asks: what does it all mean? What philosophy or belief system are you building from the information you consume? How does your body emotionally respond to the world around you?

Over the next couple of weeks, many people may notice heightened emotional reactions. Jupiter in Cancer expands feelings, sentimentality, protectiveness, patriotism, nostalgia, and family-centered concerns. Some people may feel deeply inspired and connected. Others may feel overwhelmed by collective events or emotionally flooded by personal realizations.

The best way to navigate this energy is not to disconnect from your emotions, but to become more conscious of them.

Cancer teaches us that emotional intelligence is a form of wisdom.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius reminds us that growth comes not only through external exploration, but through inner understanding.

Wedding Bells and Beautiful Moments

One of the most beautiful alignments arriving soon is June 9th, when Venus and Jupiter move together in Cancer. I’m calling this energy “Wedding Bells.”

Venus and Jupiter are considered two of the most benefic planets in astrology, and together in Cancer they can bring warmth, celebration, generosity, reunions, engagements, weddings, family gatherings, reconciliations, and moments of emotional abundance.

For some, this may literally coincide with marriage or partnership opportunities. For others, it may simply feel like reconnecting with what truly nourishes the heart.

They meet in conjunction with the President’s Venus, his MC/ career ruler. Let’s hope a peace deal is announced rather than the green light for his ballroom bunker or J6 slush fund. A birthright citizenship judgment is also expected soon.

Jupiter enlarges everything it touches, though, including weather systems. Some places may experience literal flooding or heavy rain around this time, especially as emotional and atmospheric waters rise together.

The Best Way Forward

The healthiest way to move through this Sagittarius Full Moon is through awareness and reflection.

The Sun in Gemini reminds us to stay curious rather than rigid. Journal your thoughts. Write down your dreams, reactions, fears, observations, and realizations. Notice how your emotional body responds to the information you consume.

The Astrology Is Already Manifesting

Those of you who listen to my podcast know I’ve been closely watching the New Moon of May 16th at 25° Taurus conjunct Algol, one of the most feared fixed stars in astrology.

Algol has long been associated with themes of catastrophe, chaos, rage, decapitation symbolism, and situations where collective fear becomes overwhelming. 

Since the Sun entered Gemini and met Uranus, the symbolism has felt startlingly literal. We have seen sudden breaks, shocking announcements, explosions, fires, oil spills, infrastructure crises, and escalating collective instability worldwide.

Here in California especially, the astrology has been striking. At the New Moon, Mars and Chiron in Aries activated California’s natal Uranus-Pluto conjunction in Aries, reflecting upheaval, fires, ruptures, and volatile conditions unfolding simultaneously.

One of the most symbolic stories under the Sun-Uranus conjunction in Gemini was the resignation announcement involving Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence. Gemini rules intelligence, information networks, and communication systems, while Uranus brings sudden breaks and disruptions. Her appearance has also long evoked Medusa imagery for me because of the striking white streak in her hair, echoing the Algol symbolism connected to the Medusa myth.

At the same time, Pope Leo XIV warned publicly about the dangers of AI and released his first major teaching document addressing humanity’s relationship with emerging technologies as the Sun spotlighted the long-term Cosmic Wedge between Uranus, Pluto, and Neptune.

Sagittarius rules religion, philosophy, belief systems, and moral frameworks. The collective conversation is no longer just about technology itself, but about what kind of humanity we are becoming.

Information Versus Wisdom

This Full Moon is also conjunct the fixed star Antares, one of the four royal stars and a star associated with intensity, passion, obsession, warfare, and going to extremes. Antares also carries a “lose your head” quality when emotions, beliefs, or reactions become too inflamed. Under this Full Moon, people may feel morally certain, emotionally reactive, or consumed by the desire to prove a point, defend a belief, or act impulsively.

The Gemini-Sagittarius axis asks us to move from information into wisdom. Gemini gathers facts, headlines, fragments, and reactions. Sagittarius searches for truth, philosophy, ethics, and the bigger picture. But with Antares activated, there is a warning not to become consumed by ideological certainty or emotional escalation. Wisdom requires perspective, moderation, and the ability to stay grounded even when emotions run high.

One of the hottest conversations circulating in the astrology community right now involves a practitioner who reportedly trademarked the term "astrocartography" in parts of Europe and is alleged to have sent legal notices regarding its use, including to a former teacher. Whether the legal claims ultimately hold up is a question for trademark attorneys and the courts, but the community reaction has been swift and emotional. As we move toward this Full Moon conjunct Antares, the symbolism is hard to ignore: questions of power, reputation, ownership, and consequences are all on display.

Many astrologers are asking whether an attempt to control a widely used astrological term strengthens a legacy or damages it. In a moment that feels distinctly Antares, the real lesson may be about the difference between influence and authority, and how quickly public perception can shift when a community feels threatened. The gossip is hot, but beneath the headlines is a deeper conversation about stewardship, ethics, and who gets to claim ownership of knowledge that they did not create.

The Full Moon is the culmination of the lunar cycle. This one asks:
Can you stay curious without becoming reactive?
Can you seek truth without needing to dominate the conversation?
Can you process what has happened over this lunar cycle without losing your center?

This is a powerful lunation for stepping back from noise, reconnecting with meaning, and remembering that wisdom is not the same thing as information.
